Presenting at the Orlando SharePoint User Group

On the second week of November, I’ll be in Orlando on business, teaching SharePoint training onsite at one of our clients.  Since I’ll be in town, we were able to set it up so that I’ll be doing a presentation at the Orlando SharePoint User Group meeting!

Here is the link to their OSPUG site

Here’s the information about the presentation that I’ll be doing.

Form Approval Process – Best Practices

In your company, forms are everywhere, and they usually have some type of workflow associated with them.  Approval workflows are a very common request in SharePoint, and there are several different ways to go about creating this process.  SharePoint Designer and InfoPath are common tools that are used to not only create the business form, but to run it through an approval.  Depending on the business requirements, there are different best practices involved.  In this session, attendees will learn how SharePoint 2010 and InfoPath 2010 can be leveraged the most efficiently to create an approval process that is best for the specific project.   Improvements from 2007 to 2010 will also be discussed.  Pros and cons for the different types of approvals will also be discussed.

Also, they’re going to try to stream the presentation out to the web using LiveMeeting. If you would like to see view the session remotely, here is the info: http://www.orlandosharepoint.com/Pages/LiveMeeting.aspx

I’m looking forward to “seeing” you all there!  Winking smile
