Ramping up with Microsoft Flow (half day workshop)

Have you been using SharePoint Designer to build workflows, or are you using old out-of-box workflows?
SharePoint has always been a powerful platform for site managers and power users, because we can build what we need, with no code required.
SharePoint Designer is being phased out, and PowerApps and Microsoft Flow are the new no-code tools for power users in SharePoint and Office 365.
In this introductory Microsoft Flow workshop, learn how to work through a simple business solution that involves an approval process, and automate it with Flow.
Some specific Flow concepts that will be taught are common conditions and actions, common approval requirements and actions.

PowerApps Beyond the Basics (half day workshop)

Are you a SharePoint power user who builds no code business solutions? SharePoint has always been a powerful platform for those of us in this role, because we can build what we need, quickly and easily. This applies to sites, lists, and especially forms and automated workflows. As you may have heard, InfoPath and the data view web part are in the past, they are dying technologies. PowerApps and Microsoft Flow are the new no-code tools for power users in SharePoint and Office 365. In this advanced PowerApps workshop, learn how to work through a solution that was built the old way, and build it with PowerApps and Flow instead. Some specific PowerApps concepts that will be taught are cascading drop-downs, forms with parent-child relationships, and pre-populating user information in forms.

Making the Most of Modern Out-of-Box Web Parts (session)

There is a plethora of modern out-of-the-box web parts in SharePoint Online! In this class, learn just how flexible and useful these Web parts are. New enhancements to working with pages are also covered, which are much improved over the classic look. Not only will you get a detailed look at several web parts, like hero, PowerApps, news and page properties, but you will learn about how flexible the highlighted content web part is, and what’s brand new in Office 365 connector web parts. Examples are shown, along with comparisons of old and new features. All of this is done without writing any code. Push SharePoint as far as you can using out-of-box functionality! This session is all done in SharePoint Online with Office 365.
